West Coast Customs (abbreviated by the company^[8] as WCC) is an automobile repair shop focusing on the customization of vehicles. It was started by co-founders Ryan Friedlinghaus and Quinton Dodson in 1994.^[1] According to Friedlinghaus, he began the business with a $5000 loan from his grandfather,^[9] but other sources claim that he raised the seed money for the business while working at his father’s liquor store.^[1] Owing to the patronage of celebrities such as Shaquille O’Neal and Sean Combs,^[1] along with appearances in the reality television programs Pimp My Ride and Street Customs, the company has gained a high degree of notoriety and has become a multimillion-dollar^[2] business.

Wheeler Dealers is a British television series originally produced by Attaboy TV for the Discovery Channel in the UK and Motor Trend in the U.S. The programme is fronted by car enthusiast Mike Brewer. Edd China served as the programme’s mechanic for series 1 to 13; he was replaced by Ant Anstead in series 14. The premise of the show has the presenters on a mission to save old and repairable enthusiast vehicles, by repairing or otherwise improving an example of a particular make and model to a budget, then selling it to a new owner.

Fifth Gear is a British motoring television magazine series. Originally shown on Channel 5 from 2002 to 2011, Discovery from 2012 to 2014, History in 2015 and Quest since 2018, the show is currently presented by Tiff Needell, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Jonny Smith and Jason Plato. Fifth Gear’s rival show is BBC Two‘s Top Gear.

Fifth Gear has been broadcast since 8 April 2002. Since then, 27 series have been produced with 255 episodes (as of 25 October 2018).
